Our First Pilot - Fish Farm in B.C

Location: Sechelt, Sunshine Coast, B.C.

BrewNature's first Pilot was conducted at a fish farm in BC. The idea was to use a novel process to turn fish waste into high-grade compost.

The BrewNature process was born.

Closing the Loop on Poultry Waste

Using a custom microbial aid, BrewNature converted chicken manure into fertilizer compost in only 5 days.

5 DAYS AFTER RAPID COMPOSTING:

  • Weight reduction: 66%

  • 457% increase in organic matter

  • 273% increase in nitrogen

  • Pathogen-free CLASS A compost achieved <5 CFU/g or ml Coliforms and E. coli

Candle Lake Provincial Park, Saskatchewan

Converting Fish Waste into Compost

Instead of hauling fish waste out of Candle Lake Provincial Park for disposal, we converted fish waste into compost in 4 days.

4 DAYS AFTER RAPID COMPOSTING:

  • 2.43% total nitrogen

  • 36.9% total carbon content

  • ​Significant manganese, copper, iron, zinc levels

  • Pathogen-free CLASS A compost achieved
